GRI Report

UMass Dartmouth is the first university in the world to have a sustainability report that meets the top level of the world's most popular standard. The report is produced every year by students as a learning experience.

Highlights of the report:

- UMass Dartmouth is #1 in the UMass system for our research & development (R&D) focus on environmental and physical sciences.

- UMass Dartmouth cut carbon emissions by 25% in just three years, while the student body continued to grow.

- UMass Dartmouth students dedicated over 87,000 of volunteer service and are on target to double that number in academic year 2011-2012.

- Our campus is home to 2 extremely rare species of life (the Plymouth Gentian flower and the New England Bluet damselfly).
